The Annual Giving Program
Every year thousands of alumni and
friends make gifts to the University
through the UO Foundation's Annual
Fund. The gifts are processed and passed
along to the colleges, departments,
faculty and students, or invested as part
of the endowment fund.
These annual gifts are triggered by a
sophisticated program of direct mail,
student operated telephone campaigns,
and in-person visits. Incidentally, more
than 90% of all the annual gifts are
restricted to a specific University purpose
by the donor.
Want to know more about the annual
fund? Call Doug Wilson, Executive
Director, at your Foundation,
686-3016.

Law library
A recent Emerald article
suggested that the Law Library
might be a good place to study
♦or finals It isn't, as this poor
non-law student found out Law
students are rather protective
of their study area, and frown
on trespassers

lounge
One of the main obiectives
of the student cramming for
finals is to stay awake as
much as possible This is
virtually impossible in the
lounge on the main floor of
the EMU, a nice, quiet, warm
place with (yawn) comfy,
soft couches and zzzzzzzz
EMU freeway
While it’s not good to be in too quiet
a place, it's wise to avoid Grand
Central Station study areas This area
is bad for two reasons its constant
flow of people and its proximity to all
sorts of sweets
