Hewlett-Packard hosts faculty
Some University business administration
faculty will be the guests of honor at a unique
one-on-one contact visit with representatives of
Hewlett-Packard at the firm's Corvallis office next
week
Hewlett-Packard is playing host to the bust
ness faculty members in an effort to gain first
hand knowledge of University business programs
Officials of the firm say they are considering
channeling business graduates into Hewlett
Packard to fill specialized needs In turn, business
faculty members will hold discussion sessions
with representatives of the firm on Nov 20
The visit marks the beginning of formal ef
forts by Hewlett-Packard and the business school
to establish a comprehensive rapport, says Bar
bara Kenyon, administrative services director at
the business school
The faculty is "committed to promoting a
community alliance," Kenyon says
"I think the visit is of particular importance
because Hewlett-Packard is such a large firm and
they’re really going out of their way to establish
good relations with the business school "
