THE PRESIDENTS ASSOCIATES
Every year thousands of University of Oregon alumni and friends make gifts
to the institution through the University of Oregon Foundation Its responsibility
is to record acknowledge account tor and allocate those gifts in keeping with
donors wishes These can include assistance for the University s professional
schools departments or programs its faculty and students or assistance of an
unrestricted nature to build the Foundation s endowment fund or help meet
exigencies that inevitably arise
Ma/or contributors to the University s needs and progress are recognized as
PRESIDENT'S ASSOCIA rES They form the institution s premier support group
through which a very specia relationship with the University its faculty and top
administrators is fostered
Among the privileges of membership are invitations to /om the president lor
occasions of unusual interest as well as preferred access to some of the
institution s resources and facilities
The base Qualification for membership in the PRESIDENT'S ASSOCIATES is
a gift or pledge of 55 000 which may be payable over a period of five years and
must be at least partially unrestricted Restricted or unrestricted gifts valued at
$10 000 or over in the form of reai or personal property or deferred gifts of
$25 000 or over are tuther ways by which generous friends of fhe University may
Qualify All such gifts are most gratefully received and utilized in conformity with
donors expressed intent
