The three one-way, large-loop routes that once plagued this area with long rides
have been replaced with streamlined, two-way service! For example, the old Bailey
Hill now called the Bertelsen route sports two-way service along the entire route,
substantially shortening travel time from the west side of Eugene university of
Oregon students can travel directly to school from the Westmoreland area,
although the routing still allows riders to deboard in downtown Eugene Those
living in the Friendly/Jefferson area also have a shortened route, making a
downtown trip of less than twelve minutes from any point on the route! And
through rush-hour service to the major transfer site at 30th and Hllyard, Crest Drive
residents now have access to the university, Lane Community College, east-side
schools and downtown Eugene! (See page 11.)
