Unfaithful fee
On Page 5 of the 1981 summer
session catalog, it is clearly
stated that payment of tuition
entitles students to the use of
gymnasium services; yet when I
went over to use these facilities.
I was told that is would cost me
an additional I0 dollars for the
summer session
In an attempt to find an
answer for the extra fee, I was
told that funds for the summer
use of the facilites have been
discontinued and that this is the
only way that the University
could Keep them open for the
summer One of my complaints
is that this I0 dollar fee was
never announced beforehand
and only vaguely alluded to in
the first two issues of the Emer
ald
I feel that assessment of such
a fee in this manner is both ca
pricious and unethical, if not
illegal I realize that the Univer
sity is in the midst of great fi
nancial difficulties, but I would
be much more inclined to give a
donation than pay this new fee
for a privilege that has always
been free in the past
Students bargain in good
faith when they pay their tuition
and fees Why can't the Univer
sity and the state Legislature do
the same and what will the next
extra fee be for7

It is clear by now to all Iran
ians except the few rich living
abroad and in Iran, that the
peoples Mojahedin organiza
tion that has recently called for
armed struggle against the
Islamic Republic of Iran and its
people, is nothing more but an
other instrument of imperialism
This organization from the
beginning of the young Islamic
Republic openly opposed it. did
not vote for its existence in a
nationwide referendum, and
now has claimed itself as a legi
timate father of the Islamic
Revolution
One must ask this organiza
tion that also claims to be a

seen in their published litera
ture, their cooperation with

the government of the Islamic

This organization, along with
the accusations it has made in
the past and continues to do so
at present, has always hidden
itself behind an honorable
figure in Iran to implant their
imperialistic views
They have always used the
poor and exploited the people
of Iran under the bloodsucker of
the century (the shah) to gain
their own rights, and now that
their ranks are jammed with
supporters of the past regime
and its SAVAK agents, they are
opposing the right and cour
ageous elected government of
the Islamic Republic This or
ganization and other organiza
tions alike have accused the
government of the Islamic
Republic of Iran of wrongdoing
and torture It should be pointed
out that under the order of Imam
Khomeini, a detailed and broad
investigation was started which
lasted for several months, but
no evidence of torture was
found
These accusations of the
Mojahedin organization are not
only ridiculous but rather ab
solute lies which are not based
on any actual fact but mere fa
bricated evidence The opposi
tion of Islam has always existed
and the present oppostion, in
whatever from it appears, is a
small fraction of international
conspiracy against Islam and
the young Islamic Republic
The Islamic Republic of Iran
will continue its struggle toward
complete independence from
East and West and will always
stay proud of the Islamic
Revolution and its fruit — the
Islamic Republic of Iran
