Co-op holds open house today
Members of the Students
Cooperative Association will
hold an open house today at
their new cooperative at 1790
Alder St
The association also owns the
Campbell Club co-op and
purchased the new $175,000
house last month
The new house has several
spaces left for summer term
Room and board rates for a sin
gle room are $400 for the eight
week summer session and $510
for the 11-week session The
room and board rates for a
double room are $325 for eight
weeks and $405 for 11 weeks
A major part of the financing
for the house came from the
National Consumer Cooperative
Bank. Also, the West University
Neighbors’ Neighborhood Advi
sory Group has approved
$12,500 to $25,000 in Commun
ity Development Funds to help
the association.
