Faculty elects members
for committee service
More than two dozen people have been
elected to membership on three panels con
cerned with faculty governance and promotion at
the University
The recently elected members of the Faculty
Advisory Council, the Faculty Personnel Commit
tee and the University Senate will take office July
1 and serve two-year terms
In addition, the University Senate has elected
officers for the 1981-82 academic year
Elected to the Faculty Advisory Council,
which advises the president on university affairs,
were mathematics Prof Fred Andrews; law Prof
Chapin Clark; Maradel Gale. School of Architec
ture and Allied Arts assistant dean; psychology
Prof Carolin Keutzer: and biology Prof Sanford
Tepfer
Chosen to serve on the Faculty Personnel
Committee, which conducts reviews and makes
recommendations to the president on all promo
tion and tenure cases, were special education
Prof Barbara Bateman; fine arts Prof LaVerne
Kraus; chemistry Prof Richard Noyes; and history
Prof Louise Wade
The Senate secretary will be Holway Jones,
library professor and newly elected senate
member The vice chairmanship will be filled in a
later election

Edwin Bingham, English Prof Edwin Coleman,
chemistry and geology Prof Gordon Coles, poli
tical science Prof Daniel Goldrich, psychology
