New rules
would affect
medical leave
The University has proposed
amendments to its student
medical leave rules that will al
low appropriate health center
professionals to evaluate a
student's medical condition
when mandatory leave is being
considered
The amendments, which
delete obsolete information and
reflect current titles, also give
the University authority to act in
the absence of appropriate ac
tion by a student's family and
permit a psychiatrist of the
University’s choice to attend a
conference to determine a
student's medical condition.
