Exquisite sounds with John Renbourn Group
The John Renbourn Group comes to the
Community Center for the Performing Arts
Sunday night If you like Pentangle, then you
shouldn’t miss this coming performance of The
John Renbourn Group Specializing in in
tricate and delicate types of music, the group
will offer you ballads, melodic instrumentals,
traditional English folk tunes, and haunting,
harmonic original compositions. With Tony
Roberts on flute, Keshave Sathe-tavala on
Molineux-guitar, and with Jacqui Mcshee's
beautiful vocals and John Renbourn’s exqui
site guitar playing, the evening should be one
of gentle paradise

will meet in Gerlinger Lounge
from 11 a m. to 3 p.m. There is
also softball at Skinner’s Butte
Park. Also on Saturday Robin
Tyler will perform at 7:30 p.m.
and 9:30 p.m. in the WOW Hall.

Dancing for El Salvador
The Wallflower Order, a Eugene based women's dance
collective and Grupo Raiz, a Latin American group that draws
on traditional music of the Andes will be performing April 23,
24 and 26 at the Community Center for the Performing Arts
(WOW Hall).
This concert is a benefit for humanitarian aid to El
Salvador and Chile. The Wallflower Order and Grupo Raiz will
also be performing at the April 18 El Salvador demonstration
that the ASUO is co-sponsoring.
The performance blends ballet, modern, and jazz danc
ing with the music of the Andes, Nueva Cancion from Chile,
Caribbean percussion, and touches of North American jazz.
Tickets will be available at the door beginning 6:30 p.m. on
performance days and advance tickets are available at Zoo
Zoo’s, the Book and Tea, and Better Days Store.
Of pigs, dance and leis
The University of Oregon Hawaii Club presents its sixth
annual luau, “Somewhere in Hawaii,” Saturday at 6 p.m. in
the EMU Ballroom. Featured will be authentic foods and
dances from Hawaii, Tahiti, and other islands in the Pacific.
Tickets are available at the EMU main desk in front of the
Bookstore, and at the Lei Hawaiian Fashions shop on the
Eugene Mall. Prices are $7 for adults, $6 for students and
senior citizens, and $4.50 for children under 12. For more
