NEW YORK (AP) - Gen. Omar Bradley, who
led a million U.S. soldiers in World War II and was
the nation's last five-star general, died Wednes
day at the age of 88, Pentagon officers said in
Washington.
He died at a hospital in New York City, the
officers said.
His last public appearance was at President
heagan s inaugurauon.
He led the U S. Second Corps to victories in
Tunisia and Sicily and was senior commander of
American ground forces in the mid-1944 Anglo
American invasion of Europe.

A pap smear is recommended
for all women 18 and older. The
pap smear (named for Dr.
Papanicolaou, who developed
it) is a procedure used to detect
the presence of cancer or other
abnormal cells on the cervix, the
entrance to the uterus at the
end of the vagina.
The pap smear is simple and
painless. It takes about two
seconds to gently scrape some
cell tissue of the cervix. This
tissue is then sent to a labora
