Hunt named CEP head

Education Program (CEP) has a
new coordinator who knows
community education first-hand
— and wants to encourage
“others of all ages to try it.”
Corrine Hunt became acting
CEP coordinator in January, re
placing Chris Munoz. Hunt
previously had been CEP out
reach coordinator for two
years.
Munoz is now associate dir
ector of college-school rela
tions at Humboldt State Univer
sity in Areata, Calif.
Through CEP, approximately
■ ■ +
oUU community members
become University students
every term through enrollment
in regular classes at a reduced
tuition rate.
“Our students range from
high school age to a man of 86,
and our classes are that diverse
also, ranging from calculus to
mid-life transition,” Hunt says.
Hunt believes community
education helps the older
student, especially “those
changing careers in midstream
who need additional education
for this retooling. But many take
classes for pure enjoyment.”
