Ducks battle OSU tonight
Wrestlers prep for Civil War
Civil War will break out again
tonight in McArthur Court as
Oregon’s wrestling team battles
Oregon State University at 7:30
p.m.
The sixth-ranked Ducks are
prepared to wrestle a tough
match in this second of three
meetings between the universi
ties. The Ducks won the first one
22-16 in the championship
match of the Oregon Invitation
al.
“We always get fired up when
we wrestle Oregon State,’’ says
Oregon coach Ron Finley.
“Both teams pride themselves
on their aggressiveness and
conditioning, which makes for a
very exciting match."
One of the matches to watch
will be the 142-pounders, with
OSU's Mike Bauer who is cur
rently ranked fourth in the na
tion against the Duck’s Bill
Nugent, Finley says.
“That should be a very tough
match, with whoever makes the
first mistake the loser. Both men
are excellent wrestlers, ready to
take advantage of any sign of
weakness in the other.”
The Duck’s Cliff Porter will be
another one to watch as he tries
to avenge an earlier season loss
to OSU’s Cliff Berger.
“Porter was ahead 10-3 when
he made a mistake and ended
up on his back — pinned,” Fin
ley says. “Hopefully he will be
able to change that this time.”
Tonight’s match has the po
tential of being won by either
team, Finley says.
“This whole match can go
either way. It’s impossible to
predict because there is so
much pride on the line. Both
teams will want to win badly. ”

COVERUP
Ten years have passed since four
Kent State University students
were killed and nine wounded at
the hands of the Ohio National
Guard.
There have been other books
some good, some bad. Not one
has told the complete story of
both the shootings and the mis
carriage of justice.
The Kent State Coverup by
New York trial lawyer Joseph
Kelner, chief trial counsel to the
13 victims, and writer James
Munves, is the only book that
really tells the complete story
with no punches pulled of the
campus massacre and the subse
quent “whitewash" trial In fact,
it’s the only book about the trial.
Originally published in hard
cover at $ 15. this new $6.95 high
quality 306-page documented
paperback names names and
shows photographic evidence.
“Will haunt our memones for a
long time to come. The facts,
grippingly reconstructed as in a
good detective story, are unfolded
before an uncaring American
courtroom ... the reader is caught
up, involved, outraged,” says
New York Supreme Court Justice
Edward .1 Greenfield.
You too, will be outraged at
this flagrant coverup. No TV
