Goodwill slates acre yard sale
Lane County -Goodwill will
clean out its closets this week
with the annual One Acre Yard

item to buy."
Major sale items will include

be sold and delivery service will
be available.
Switchboard seeks help
The Eugene Switchboard,
Lane County’s oldest informa
tion and referral service, will
begin its next volunteer training
program, Wednesday, August
13.
Volunteers at Switchboard
assist all kinds of people with a
wide range of needs, and help
them connect with organiza
tions, agencies and other re
sources in Lane County.
In addition to putting people
in touch with social services,
volunteers help people find
housing, lost pets, rides to all
areas of the country, jobs, and
information on local events. The
volunteer training program is
designed to enhance each per
son’s problem-solving and
communications skills, while
acquainting them with local
problems and services.
Volunteers have enabled
Switchboard to remain a func
tioning, growing enity for the
last ten years. If you’d like to get
involved, call Wade Powell or
Mary Keenan at 686-8453.
