U of O Bookstore
Board of Directors
There is an immediate opening for a newly developed
classified staff position on the Board of Directors of the
University of Oregon Bookstore The opening is for a full-time
classified staff person who works on the Eugene campus.
The term of the position is for two years beginning June 1980
and ending June 1982.
Those interested in the position should apply at'the
administrative office located at the rear of the first floor of the
Bookstore The deadline for applications is 5:30 p m.. Thur
sday, May 29, 1980 Interviews will be given on Friday, May 30,
1980. Anyone having questions about the position should
contact the manager of the Bookstore, Jim Williams, at
extension 4331.

eivement during the 1979-80
school year.
David Eaton, president-elect
of the ASUO and a member of
Phi Kappa Psi received the
Bogen Award, while Marc
Vidulich, another Phi Kappa Psi
member was given the Sore
nson Award
Sigma Alpha Epsilon received
the Robert Bowlin Community
Service Award for the fifth
straight year, and Phi Kappa Psi
earned the IFC Scholarship tro
phy for compiling a 2.87 grade
point average

When to sell your books—
The buyback counter, located upstairs, is open during regular
business hours It's not necessary to wait for a specific buying
period to resell your books However, the best service can be
had during the above time period because we have arranged
with the wholesale book company to have their buyers at the
Bookstore on these dates
The Oregon Daily Emerald is published Monday through Friday,
except during exam week and vacations, by the Oregon Daily
Emerald Publishing Co at the University ot Oregon, Eugene, OR

MEETINGS
The EMU Board will meet today at 4 p m
in the EMU (room to be posted). On the
agenda is CCDC and the Oregon Wilderness
Supplies
MISCELLANEOUS
The University Child Care & Development
Center is having a benefit breakfast on
Monday, June 2, at the Homefried Trucks
top The proceeds will be used for play
ground equipment. The menu: huevos tor
tilla con salsa, home-fried potatoes, fruit
salad with yogurt, and an assortment of
baked goodies The breakfast will run from 8
a m until 11 p.m.
Do you have any reusable household
goods you want to get rid of or donate to a
good cause? BRING Recycling will be
having a fundraising garage sale and needs
your donations of household goods. BRING
will pickup these items from your house on
May 30 or June 10 Please call 746-3023
BRING also encourages everyone to come
to the garage sale on June 14 The sale will
be at BRING's main warehouse on Franklin
Boulevard and Seavey Loop Road

anyone wishing to announce meeting, lec
tures or miscellaneous events Briefs are run
once only and are subject to space
limitations. They should be typed and triple
spaced in a 65-character margin. Include all
pertinent information including the date you
want it to run. Also include a name and
phone number in case we have questions
Events with donations or admission cahrges
will not be accepted
All items must be turned in by noon the day
before publication at the Emerald Office,
Room 300, EMU.
