LECTURES
Dr. George Brown Tindall, Kenan professor
of history at the University of North Carolina
will lecture today on "Triangulating Southern
Politics." the lecture will be in the EMU (room
to be posted) at 3:30 p.m. The triangle refers to
three sides of Southern culture — upper-in
come whites, lower-income whites and blacks.
Tindall's lecture is sponsored by the
University history department.

A workshop analyzing some of the problems
that occur in institutional food systems will be

The Development in Science Education
Program provides funds to increase the quality
and diverstiy of science education the the
United States. Five Areas are being empha
sized:
• Science for the early adolescent.
• Improving access to careers in science for
women, minorities and the physically han
dicapped.
• Science literacy and science, technology
and society.
• New knowledge and skills — education for
productivity.
• Technology for science education
Proposals may be submitted at any time. For
