Students can get a crash
course on the link between birth
defects and herbicides from na
tional experts this evening at 6
p.m. for $1 in the King Cole
Room of the Eugene Hotel.
The dinner forum will feature
Drs. Charles and Renee
Stringham, a panel of scientists,
doctors, lawyers and econ
omists, a film on herbicides by
Eugene filmmaker Bob Lundahl
and musical entertainment.
Dinner will begin at 6 p.m.,
featuring both meat and vege
tarian meals, to be followed by
music, Lundahl’s film and a
question and answer session.

MEETINGS
Club Sports — Crew will have a mandatory'
winter workouts on Tuesdays and Thurs
days beginning Jan. 22 at 7 a.m., Gate 25 of
Hayward Field All newcomers are welcome.
The Political Science Student Union will
meet at 3:30 p m. today in the EMU. The
room number will be announced.
The Outdoor Program’s audio-visual and
photography cooperative will meet tonight
at 7 p.m. in the Outdoor Program, Room 23
of the EMU The organization and goals of
the co-op will be discussed along with plans
for this term's projects, such as the upcom
ing spring photo exhibition. Students and
members of the community at all skill levels
are welcome
Women s Referral and Resource Service
will hold a general meeting today at 2:30 p.m
in our office, Room 336 EMU. We will be
planning a get aquainted potluck and dis
cussing winter term projects, including an
abortion rights table in the EMU lobby on
Jan 22. In addition, WRRS is sponsoring
informal women's rap groups on Mondays
and Thursdays from noon until 1 p m. in the

LECTURES
Dr. Anthony Roberts, a Eugene
Chiropractor will present a low back pain
clinic today at the Eugene Public Library in
the Lecture Room at 7 p.m. The topic of
discussion will be causes, treatment and
prevention of low back pain. Preventative
exercises will be demonstrated For more

The University Biology Department is
sponsoring Dr Michael C. Singer, University
of Texas. Austin, who will be giving a lecture
today at 12:30 p.m in Room 16 of Science I
on "Evolution of Host-selection Behavior in
Butterflies "
The Israell-Egyptlan Peace Treaty: What
It All Means' will be the topic that John
Rothmann, prominent political analyst, will
give an address tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the
Forum Room of the EMU The event is

education proficiency exams in the main

Each Monday this term, there will be a
program of free films shown at 12:30 p.m. in
Room 30 Science I. Many of the films are
from the National Film Board of Canada The
film today is "Canaries to Clydesdales,” a
documentary about two veterinarians and
their concern for all creatures, both large
and small. The series is sponsored by the
Fine Arts, Telecommunications and Film
Studies departments.
