To the rescue
Since 1968 the Eugene Mountain Rescue has been in
. voived in searches, rescues and body recoveries in the Cas
cade Mountains. McKenzie Pass is the base camp for the 50
volunteers, who sometimes require the services of National
Guard helicopters. The story on Page 2B elaborates on one of
the team’s most perilous rescue attempts.
