Family workshop offered
The Community Center for Family Counseling, more commonly
known as ‘‘Saturday Circus,” is offering workshops throughout the
county for parents interested in improving their children’s behavior.
Parents and others have an opportunity to attend lectures and
family counseling demonstrations, and to participate in counseling
sessions and parents’ study groups. Supervised playroom facilities are
available.
In addition to the weekly sessions from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday
at Condon Elementary School, other sessions are open throughout the
county.

Listings deadline extended
The deadline for accepting listings for the Women’s Yellow Pages
for Eugene and Lane County has been extended to November 15. The
directory will include women-owned businesses, professional and
para-professional women, women with skills and talents to share, and
organizations who provide services for women.
The project is sponsored by Women Working, an organization
formed to support and encourage women in business.

“health-risk assessment,” says
Cindy Paxton, Health Education
doctoral student.
Pre-testing will take 30-40 min
utes during the next two weeks,
and post-testing will take place in

The Eugene Unit of the American Contract Bridge League is hotd
ing its annual Swiss Team Sectional this weekend, at the Rodeway Inn
in Springfield. Anyone wanting to watch is welcome.
Qualifying sessions will be held Saturday at 130 p.m. and 8 p.m.
with the final and consolation rounds on Sunday at 11 p.m. and 5 p.m. In
order to qualify for the finals a team must win about half of their matches.
This tournament is open to the public although some dupicate
bridge experience is desired. Anyone who would like to play and is not
on a team should come to the partnership desk at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
