Corrections and amplifications
The Emerald incorrectly stated on Friday that Ballot Measure
6 would, if passed, reduce the amount of money available for city
use from an $18.5 million civic center bond issue approved by
Eugene voters last June.
Due to the fact that the bonds were sold on Nov. 1, revenues
from that bond issue will not be reduced. Had the bonds been
approved but not sold, the passage of Measure 6 could have
made them harder to sell.
Democrat Gov. Bob Straub was reported as supporting Bal
lot Measure 10 in Monday’s election supplement. Straub is
against Measure 10, which would reduce the Land Conservation
and Development Commission to an advisory board.
