Halloween disco set
People of all ages are invited to join the Eugene Easter Seal School
and KBDF Radio for a Great Pumpkin Halloween Disco at Odyssey
3001 in Springfield Tuesday, beginning at 8 p.m.
Prizes will be awarded to the best dancers and those wearing the
best costumes.
Hosted by the KBDF air-personalities and sponsored by Pepsi, the
disco will raise money for a new therapy pool for the Easter Seal School.
Admission is $2 per person.
Sex roles discussed
The University YMCA Women/Speak series will feature “Impres
sions of Sex Roles in China” Wednesday at noon in the Erb Memorial
Union. Barbara Koser, Cynthia Wooten and Jeanine Bennett, partici
pants in the recent U.S.-China Friendship Association Study Tour, will
show slides and discuss the roles of men and women in
China.Women/Speak is free and open to the public.

Ballot Measures 6 and 11. The

“Friends of the Eugene Public Li

Psychologist awarded
Peter Lewinson, a University psychology professor, was awarded
Saturday for his “effective and creative approaches to the treatment of
depression.”
Lewinson, a national authority on the study of depression, has
worked for the last 10 years developing research leading to treatment
theories in the field.
The award was one of four presented by the Mental Health Associ
ation of Oregon.
