The State Accident Insurance Fund Building in Salem has space
available for the display of visual art. with showings changing monthly.
Currently, the 1979 schedule is being prepared and openings are still
available.

Tryouts start for play
Tryouts for "The Princess and the Frog will take place Tuesday
through Thursday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Spencer's Butte Jr. Hk^i, 500
E. 43rd Ave

Grant given
to LERC
The Oregon Labor Education and Research Center (LERC), lo
cated at the University, has been awarded a $50,000 grant by the
Occupational Safety and Health Administration of the U S. Department
of Labor to fund a special health and safety project for state workers.
According to Emory Via, LERC director, the grant will fund a pro
gram geared to educating union and employee association members on
their job safety rights, on how to deal with health and safety problems
encountered on the job, and on how to organize and operate safety and
health committees. _
