Eugene’s Butler Museum of Indian
Art has one of the finer collections of
Native American art in Oregon. Using'
her own resources, Elizabeth Butler has gath
ered hundreds of pieces from throughout the
United States — baskets from California, masks
from the Northwest Coast, porcupine quillwork
from the Great Lakes. Each object has its own dis
tinct qualities, yet all share a common strength and
