Loan solution approved
The Oregon Student Lobby (OSL) won preliminary approval of its
proposed solution to student loan defaults at a national conference, but
its “income contingency plan” no longer includes the pooling of loans in
a cohort as the Emerald reported this week.
According to Dan Gamer, executive coordinator of OSL, the new
plan contains the concept of refinancing loans to make payments more
flexible to students.
The OSL will hold a public meeting of its board of directors Satur
day at Oregon State University, Music 110 at 10 a.m.
