Seven positions open as
CCPA board needs filling
Every six months there is an election at the Community Center For
The Performing Arts. Being a non-profit, community oriented Center
requires that all of its major decision making be the responsibility of a
Board of Directors; and that board of directors be composed of mem
bers of the community.
It is a twelve person board. Seven positions are up for election now.
The job requires a person who is interested in the growth of the
center, who can work well in a democratic body, and has an awareness
of the community and its functions, and who takes interest in the arts.
The position is a volunteer position. There is one board meeting per
week.
The position’s advantages are the excitement and satisfaction of
seeing the Community Center For The Performing Arts grow into a well
recognized landmark; a community showcase for its performing arts.
There is to be an election at the Center this evening at 7 p.m. To be
nominated and elected requires only that you be present and that you
can say a few words about yourself and your relationship with the
Center. The general public is invited to attend.
