Rule moves Brown appearance
Gov. Jerry Brown’s appearance
on behalf of John Stewart,
Democratic candidate for the
Oregon House, scheduled for
next Friday at Murphy and Ms’s
tavern ran into a few problems
with the Oregon Liquor Control
Commission (OLCC).
The OLCC has a regulation
restricting campaign ap
pearances at establishments
serving alcohol. Consequently,
the Stewart committee decided to
change the location of the benefit
appearance to 1780 Aider St.
There are a limited number of
$5 tickets available for the event
scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. For

Richardson set to speak at EMU
Secretary of Commerce Elliot Richardson, the man who resigned
rather than fire special prosecutor Archibald Cox at Nixon's order, will
be in Eugene Monday.
Richardson will speak on behalf of Res. Ford, and will answer
questions about the Ford campaign. He will appear in Rra 129 of the
EMU from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
for the Fourth District

Workshop set
A workshop centered on grout:

OSPIRG Saturday from 10 am. tc
3 p.m. at Willamette University In
Salem.
The purpose of the workshop is
to teach participants how to work
effectively in group situations.

problem as a group, decide how
to tackle the problem by dividing
up tasks and finally pull the tasks
together to reach the group's
goals.

the annual meeting of the Oregon
Shores Conservation Coalition at
the Marine Science Center in

Wonderland show to light hall
The wonders of the AJIison Wonderland Luminous Light Show will
fill the Community Center for the Performing Arte, 8th Avenue and
Lincoln Street, tonight and Saturday.
Creator Jim Allison has appeared with such artists as Richie
Havens, and Seals and Crofts.
"This used to be just a light show, but now It's beyond that — it is
visible music," he says.
Show times are at 9 and 10:45 p.m. As an added attraction, the
jazz-rock group Wisdom Star will play at tonight’s second show.
Admission is $1.50 at the door, S2 for the late show.
On Sunday at 8 p.m., the Portland Theater group Family Circus
will present two original comedies: "Superman Meets the Plutonium
Tycoons” and Y/ho Stole the Umbilical Cord.” Admission is $1.50.
Auditions open for fantasy p/ay
University Theatre (UT) will hold auditions fa it’s upcoming
production of A.A. Milne's children's fantasy Toad of Toad Hall on
Monday and Tuesday at 7:30 in the Arena Theatre, located on the
first floor of Villard Hail.
Auditions are open to all interested University students, area high
school students and local townspeople. The cast will be comprised of
30 to 40 persons, with approximately 27 speaking parts. As the title
suggests, the characters are predominately animals.
The three act play is scheduled to open in the Horace Robinson
Theatre on Dec. 3. Special matinee performances have been scheduled
to accomodate area elementary schools.

The Northern Pacific Coast Chapter of the Society of Ar
chitectural Historians will meet on campus today and Saturday.
