Ducks sign All-American'' Oregon signed its second high school All-American gymnast from Illinois Wednesday. Breck Grigas, from Hinsdale, III., inked a national letter-of intent to compete for the Ducks. Grigas scored 53.45 points in finishing second in the all-around competition at the National High School Invitational recently, making him the highest scoring all-around man Oregon has ever had. The winner of the event Bart Connors, is considered the best young gymnast in the world. Grigas was a prep all-American in four events — the rings, high bar. parallel bars and all-around. Last week the Ducks signed high school All-American Gene Christensen, from Elk Grove, III. District court dismissed Tuesday the $2 million suit filed by former Oregon State University basketball player Lonnie Shelton against the Spirits of St. Louis of the American Bas ketball Association The suit was dismissed partly on grounds Shelton is not a citizen of Oregon Portland lawyers rep resenting Shelton said the suit would be filed in St. Louis, where Shelton signed a $1.2 million con tract with the Spirits in June 1975. The suit says Shelton was “in duced to sign by fraud and misrep reservationIt asks that the con tract be declared void as well as that damages be awarded. John King, a St Louis lawyer who represents the Spirits, said the suit might be out of place in St Louis, too, since the Spirits have closed their office there and are trying to relocate in a city where they might get better attendance at games Shelton, who became ineligible to play college basketball after the dispute over his professional con tract, has applied for the National Basketball Association hardship draft, since his class has not graduated from OSU.
