budget reports
The Social Workers Interest
Group has submitted a budget re
quest for 1976-77 to the ASUO
Executive.
The ASUO incorrectly reported
yesterday that the program had
not handed in a request.
The group is asking for $960. It
was allocated $510 last year.
The Executive also incorrectly
cited $11,475.11 as the allocation
received by the Food-Op last
year. The program actually re
ceived $15,787.11
Dance to aid
ailing center
Turkey Run, a country-Martian
music group, will provide the
music for a benefit dance for the
Child Care and Development
Center (CCDC) Saturday, Jan.
31, at the WOW Hall on 8th Av
enue and Lincoln Street.
Admission to the dance, which
will start at 9:30 p.m., is $1.50 per
person. Refreshments, donated
by various community stores, and
free child care will be available at
the dance.
The dance is part of a fundrais
ing program that developed out of
recent CCDC budget problems.
History expert
to give lecture
The effects of foreign occupa
tion in Germany will be the subject
of a public lecture by John Gimbel,
history professor at Humboldt
State University in Areata, Calif.,
Friday at 3:30 p.m. in the EMU,
room to be posted.
His talk is titled The Russians
are Coming: The State Depart
ment and the Occupation of Ger
many." Gimbel, a University
alumnus, has published three
books on the occupation of Ger
many and ranks as one of the
nation s top scholars on the sub
ject.
The history department is
sponsoring the free event.

The County Planning Division
