Dick Harter
charged with
drunk driving
Oregon basketball coach Dick
Harter was arrested by the
Eugene Police Department Wed
nesday morning and was charged
with driving under the influence of
alcohol.
Harter was pulled over at 26th
and Monroe at 2:30 a m. and
taken to Police Headquarters
where a breathalizer test was ad
ministered. Harter posted bail and
was released immediately. Coach
Harter was arraigned Wednesday
afternoon and entered a plea of
not guilty. Bail was continued
pending further action in the
courts.

Center will be givinq flu shots
today from 8 a m. to 4:30 p.m.
Students are charged $1 for the
shot, which can be deducted from
the breakage fee, and faculty and
staff are charged $2
At this time the health center is
uncertain how many weeks the
shots will be offered.

Laity Concerned (CALC) may be
the right vehicle for your ideas and
energy. CALC is trying to raise the
public s awareness on such is
sues as American militarism, un
conditional amnesty and world
hunger
Rev. Roy Finch, chairer of the
Eugene chapter of CALC, said
that they are trying to take advan
tage of the new political climate to
bring about needed reforms.
CALC is trying to awaken the pub
lic by posing such questions as,
‘What could your community do
with the $76 million that it takes to
build one B-1 bomber?"

to influence legislators, both state
