candidates for the Rotary Foundation
edu anal awards for study abroad in
19 6, the Rotary Club of Eugene has
a iounced The deadline is March 15.
The Foundation offers four types of
awards Graduate fellowships for students
20 28 years old, undergraduate scholarships
for students with a minimum of two years of
university level work and who are 18 24
years old; technical training awards for
those with a secondary education and at
least two years of work experience who are
21 35 years old, awards to teachers of the
handicapped for those who have been
engaged as full time teachers of the
mentally, physically or educationally handi
capped for at least two years at the time of
application and are 25 50 years old
Each award includes round trip transpor
tation, educational and living expenses for
one academic year and funds for intensive
language training if necessary.
Further information about the awards is
available from any member of the Rotary
Club of Eugene
SPEAKERS
"The People's Republic of China. Schools
and Universities" is the topic of a lecture to
be presented Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in
Studio C of the Audio Visual department of
the University Library by Dr Albert Vee,
dean of graduate studies and research at
California State University at Long Beach
The lecture is sponsored by the University's
Center for Educational Policy and Manage
ment.
Carolin Keutzer of the psychology depart
ment and counseling center will lecture
Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. on "Existential
Humanistic Psychology " The lecture, to be
presented in 204 Chapman, is part of the
Honors College Arts and Letters course.
