PSSU appoints students to committees
The Political Science Student Union (PSSU) recently elected 15
students to participate on seven departmental committees, according
to Ann Aiken, PSSU president.
Aiken said political science majors with complaints, suggestions
or questions about departmental procedures may contact the student
representatives listed below by committee.

Dorms carving pumpkins for crippled children
Twelve children from the Children’s Hospital School will be guests
of three University dormitory units Sunday for a pumpkin carving
party.
The party, starting at 4 p.m., will be in the dining room of Boynton
Hall, a unit of Hamilton dormitory. Hosts for the party are members of
Boynton and McClain Halls, both units of Hamilton dormitory, and
Thornton Hall, unit of Bean Dormitory.
Following the party, the carved pumpkins will be delivered to the
pediatrics ward of Sacred Heart Hospital and to nursing homes.
TV programs to be produced on campus
A series of 10 programs on “School-Community Relations” will be
produced by the University’s Division of Broadcast Services and
Televised Instruction.
The programs, starting Nov. 6, are a project of the Oregon
Educational Public Broadcasting System (OEPBS) for the Oregon
Parent-Teacher’s Association.
The series, funded in part by OEPBS, will be produced in the
studios of the Division on the University campus, under the direction
of Mack Schwab, producer-director of OEPBS’s KOAC-TV, Corvallis.
Schwab will be assisted by Kenneth Jensen, University graduate
student in broadcasting.
A crew of four University undergraduate students will be selected
to work under Schwab and Jensen, according to John Shepard,
director of the Division.
Reno trip scheduled by law students
A weekend trip to Reno, open to anyone over 21, is being initiated
as a private undertaking by some students of the University Law
School The trip is scheduled for Nov. 16-18 with the cost set at $37.
The cost includes a round trip by charter bus with all the beer you
can drink; two nights at the Golden Nugget, six meals and a variety of
other items. Reservations should be made by Thursday. For further

Liberation movement meeting on tap tonight
There will be a meeting tonight of the Eugene Coalition Liberation
Support Movement in the EMU at 7:30 p.m. The Middle East, the Nov.
17 Vietnam march, and the ASUO will be discussed. Interested people
are invited. The room will be posted.

Air Pollution Authority moves offices
Lane Regional Air Pollution Authority has moved its office
location to 16 Oakway Mall, Eugene.
Formerly located at the old terminal building at Mahlon Sweet
Airport, the Authority changed location for better agency efficiency
and to make the office easily accessible to the general public.
Office location is on the Oakway Road side of the mall, just south
of the main entrance to the side mall.
New telephone numbers have been assigned the agency with the
prefix of 484. The numbers are 484-0558 and 484-0559.

Morse slated for tonight’s American Circus
Grattan Kerans and the American Circus will present an evening
with former U.S. Senator Wayne Morse tonight from 7-8 p.m. on
KZEL-FM, 96.1. The talk show will be the first of a series of weekly
shows on current issues.
The United Nations Day show will focus on Morse’s views on a
number of international and national situations, including the con
stitutional crisis precipitated in Washington by President Nixon s
firing of special Watergate prosecutor Archibald Cox.
Morse will be responding to questions from commentator Grattan
Kerans and from listeners who may call during the show. The number
