Sophomore class to sponsor ‘Coal’
The Sophomore Class Council will be sponsoring a dance for the
Heart Fund featuring “Coal” from 8 p.m. to midnight Saturday night
in the EMU Ballroom. $1 per person.
Co-op proposes donation for White Bird
A proposal to give $2500 of the University Co-op’s $200,000 cash
reserve to White Bird Clinic in Eugene will be considered by the Co-op
Board of Directors at 5 p.m. today.
The proposal, initiated by several board members, was to be
considered at a board meeting Wednesday, but a quorum of the board
failed to attend. Today’s board meeting will be held in the Co-op
building, at 13th Avenue and Kincaid Street.
BSU planned trip cancelled
The Black Student Union’s planned trip to the Oregon State
Penitentiary this Friday has been cancelled until Mm* rta^ce of
Cultural Night they will be having a rap session this Friday, and they
would like ten people from the Black populace to attend. If interested
please call 686-4379, or come to the BSU, rm. 313 EMU.
Black choir to hold auditions
All Black students interested in singing in a Black Choir for Black
Cultural Week meet in Spiller Dorm Lounge at 6 p.m. today. The
Black Arts Festival will be held April 23 through the 27.
Director candidate to be on campus
A Native American candidate for Ethnic Studies Program
director at the University will be on campus today and Friday for
appointments with various University officials.
George Mills, teacher of mentally retarded students at Eastern
Washington State College, will probably be available for students to
consult with him late Friday morning, according to the University’s
Office of Academic Affairs.

BRING mobile to be on campus
The BRINGmobile will be on campus this Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m.
in the closed off portion of 13th.
Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon BRINGmobiles will be at
Edgewood Elementary, 577 E. 46 and North Eugene High, 200 Silver
Lane. From 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday at Monroe Jr. High, 2800 Bailey
Lane and Jefferson Jr. High, 1650 w. 22. On Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. a
BRINGmobile will be at Churchill High, 1850 Bailey Hill Road.
Grants offered to women in aerospace
Zonta International, a service organization of executive women in
business and the professions, is announcing the Amelia Earhart
Fellowship Awards to women for advanced study and research in the
aerospace sciences. The $3,000 grants were established in 1938 as a
memorial to Zonta’s famed air pioneer member.
A bachelor’s degree in a science qualifying a candidate for
graduate work in some phase of the aerospace sciences is the basic
requirement for the Fellowship, plus evidence of exceptional ability
and potential and commendable character.

Friday last day for changing grade options
Friday is the last day to change grade options. Drop-Add Forms
may be obtained in the Office of the Registrar from 8 a.m. to 12 noon
and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Effective Winter Term, 1973 a department stamp is not required
for an option change. The charge of $1.00 per option change will be
assessed.
Students who have not picked up a free copy of their class schedule
are urged to do so immediately.
Democratic vice-chairman to speak
Caroline Wilkins, national vice chairman of the Democratic party
and State Democratic Chairman for Oregon will speak at the Lane
County Demoforum at noon today.
The Demoforum meets at the International Kings Table
Restaurant in the Oakway Mall. An optional lunch is available.
