WHY COBALT?
COBALT is the newest technological breakthrough
in the magnetic tape field. COBALT forms the
basis for high energy tape-And high energy means
more crashing cymbols and blaring trumpets. It
increases up to 6 OB at the high end of your
frequency range and reduces the tape hiss level
which is most objectionable in most tape
recordings. COBALT MAY BE USED ON ANY

COBALT VERSUS CHROMIUM DIOXIDE
Both Chromium Dioxide and COBALT high energy
tapes achieve the same result - high frequency
response and low hiss level. ChromiumDioxide,
however, requires a special bias switch on your
recorder or you just can’t use it Chromium Dioxide
also tends to be extremely abrasive to recording
heads and only recent improvements have made it
even useable. COBALT can be used to improve the
frequency response of any cassette recorder, and
it has the same low abrasion as other low noise
ferric iron oxide tapes.
