MEETING ROOMS, INFORMATION,
CLASSIFIED ADS, FOOD ... IT'S ALL HERE
When you hear someone mention the Fish Bowl you will know
they mean the large room with the big glass windows located
on the northwest side of the building. Here, hundreds gather
daily for rap sessions, sandwiches, cokes, doughnuts, coffee,
bridge, pinochle or as a place to sit, rest, and read the papers.
Sooner or later you'll meet nearly everyone in the Fish Bowl.
Even during the busiest of rush periods, the lines move
smoothly and swiftly through the three-station check stands in
the EMU food service cafeteria. There is also a snack bar to
serve "quickie" meals in the Fish Bowl.
THE ERB MEMOR IAL UNION is dedicated to making the extra-curricular work
of students an integral part of their education. It was built solely through gifts
from alumni and friends of the University, student building fees and through the
sale of bonds to be retired through the use of future building fees.
Step through the glass main doors and into the towering marble lobby and
you will find an array of goods and services especially suited to carrying out the
stated purpose of making extra-curricular activities and integral part of
education.
There is something for everyone at the "Erb". It houses the offices of student
government, various student programs, a branch of the United States Post Office,
check cashing and information facilities as well as a complete recreation area
and food service. Many meeting rooms take care of the complex running of a
modern university campus. The building is truly the center of extra-curricular
life.
Hamburgers, french fries and short
orders come off the grill with amazing
speed. We know you're probably in a
hurry so we put all our super fresh
ingredients together tastefully,
economically and promptly.
The EMU is still able to provide a
daily special including a main dish,
vegetable, roll and butter for less than
a $1 bill. But, if you don't want the
special, there a re other tempting hot
dishes awaiting your pleasure.
