dissertation and just plain old

and brochures in any color

What can you say about a
cleaners? That it is clean?
That it is fast? That it is
reasonable? That it can
handle almost anything?
That special care is taken
with every item? That we
would be in dire straights
without them? That they are
Siegmund's cleaners in the
Campus Village?
Now Duffy's on the corner
of Alder has only been around
for a few months really. But,
what can you say, the place is
^^usehold word. Simply, the
SRt popular tavern in
Eugene and all those people
can't be wrong. A rustic bare
wood interior gives the place,
despite it's size, a cozy at
mosphere. The table areas
set at different levels breakup
the mainroom into congenial
gatherings. The fireplace is
stunning. The pool tables
click from opening to closing.
The huge hanging clock is
well worth the visit alone.
Besides there is a variety ot
sandwiches and the ever
reliable beers and wines. Last
but never least, the company
is good and the conversation
excellent.
Around the corner the
Bamboo Pavillion otters the
finest of vegetarian Chinese
food at the most economical
expense. Featured too is a
side garden which provides
the best in a relaxing at
mosphere.
The New World Coffee
house features fine sand
wiches and soups, a variety of
teas, amalfi, and excellent
coffee. The rugged, quaint
interior is the most
aesthetically pleasing in the
city. Life is worth living just
watching the sun light move
across the room.
Blok II features the best in
mod clothes. Bell bottoms,
cords, flashy thread to suit
any taste and flare.
The Copy Shop, if for
nothing else, deserves the
highest tribute for bringing
the four cent copy to Eugene,
but there is more. Besides the
most economical rates on
multilith, off set and Xerox
copies the work is of finest

quality, and the service is the
speediest.
Pizan's features a deli-type
service. You can get about 20
different kinds of cold cut
sandwiches or you can get
them hot. Potato salad is
really fine. The store is open
to all hours of the night and
that is an aspect not too
common in this neigh
borhood. The individual booth
arrangement gives the place
an airy feeling yet breaks up
the room for a cozy privacy.
You might even be able to get
a peanut butter and jelly
sandwich at Pizan's. Think
about Peanut Butter and jelly
for a while.
Now let's skip across
Sacred Heart Hospital's
parking lot and watch out for
the shrubs.
On the corner of. 13th and
Hilyard is none other than the
Dairy Queen. More than just
a place.to .get an ice cream
cone, the Dairy Queen is an
American institution. More
than just the place to get
delicious thick hamburgers,
the'Dairy Queen is where all
.young boys and girls went
together about the time they
were discovering they were
young boys and girls
together. More than just a
place to get the finest shakes
and malts and so many
sundaes who can count them
any more, the Dairy Queen

was with us back in the days
when we were sure we all
liked each other. The Dairy
Queen still is. Like each other
at the Dairy Queen?
Coming back toward
campus we run into the Great
Northwest Art supply. People
there take pride in making
available the best in basic tor
the futures in coming
masterpieces, or maybe just
for a little dabbling.
Everything from parchment
paper to matte boards to
.Bellini paints to balsa wood
and palette knives. Maybe
even some advice when
you're not sure what you
want. But, for the moment,
figure you do—you'll find it at
Great Northwest Art Supply.
The Excelsior Cafe
presents sidewalk dining in
the French style with perfect
touches of local color. The
food is the best there is, and
for its quality, moderately
priced. A good place to
gather, relax and enjoy the
company of good friends. The
people are mellow and the
aura gentle.
Yankee Clipper right
across the hall trom the
Excelsior features decor with
Asian touch. Rugs and in
censes to add the exotic to
any aurrounding. Colorful
prints to add life to any body.
Decorations to add the
richness of Eastern
philosophy and ways to any
habitat Import is the style,

Seven-Eleven market on
the corner of Alder and 13th
Ave. has quick service
marketing for those in a
hurry or just looking for
convenience. Open all night,
it is very handy. Handy too, in
that it has just about
everything from band-a ids to
the late night munchy
delights. How about a six
pack of beer, or the real
thing—Coke-*or maybe some
Un-cola if you're not a teen
angel.
