Theater will continue this fall
in Ashland after the close of the
summer Shakespearean
Festival.
Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer
Prize-winning “Our Town” will
be presented at 8 p.m. every
Friday and Saturday in
November. The play is a
genuinely poignant portrayal of
small town life in New England at
the turn of the century.
There will be $5, $4, and $3
tickets with a $2 “student rush.”
All unsold tickets just prior to
showtime will be sold to students
with ID. The same applies to
senior citizens over 65.
Theater will begin in the spring
with “Our Town,” alternating
with Shakespeare’s “Othello,”
Oscar Wilde’s “The Importance
of Being Earnest,” and Ben
Jonson’s “The Alchemist.”
The 1973 Summer Season will
present Shakespeare’s “The
Merry Wives of Windsor,” “As
You Like It,” “Othello,” and
“Henry The Fifth;” August
Strindberg’s “The Dance of
Death,” and “The Alchemist^
Prices for the spring
summer will be the same as in
November except for Friday and
Saturday evening admissions of
$6, $4.50, and $3. The $2 rushes
hold all year.
