Sponsor of the festival is the
Lane Arts Association, an
organization formed following
the recommendation by the Lane
Council of Governments (LCOG)
Advisory Committee to the
County Commissioners.
LCOG also recommended the
festival as a means of educating
the public in the arts according to
a Lane Arts Association
spokesman, Pamela Martin.
Martin explained the reason
entries must be made so far in
advance of the actual show is
twofold: first, there must be the
screening to select a show that is
“appropriate for display in
downtown Eugene;” second,
because this is the first show it
will take time to plan exhibit
placement in the downtown store
windows and in the mall.
