Oregon-Oregon State tickets on sale
Tickets for the Oregon-Oregon State game, 8 p.m. Friday in
Corvallis, are on sale at the McArthur Court ticket booth. Student
tickets arell and go off-sale at 5 p.m. Friday.
Senate to meet tonight in EMU
The ASUO Senate meets tonight in 101 EMU, at 7 p.m.
The senate will be setting election dates for the ASUO Winter
Elections.
Bills to be considered include funding the Cosmopolitan Club with
$250.00 for an International Cultural Night, and a transfer of $290.00
from the Graduate Student Council to the ASUO Housing Office. The
money would be used for a survey to find out how students are affected
by housing problems.
Model convention meeting billed
The first organizational meeting for the Model Democratic
Nominating Convention will be held at 7:30 p.m. this evening in 123
Science. The meeting will center around a presentation of the con
vention’s rules and will discuss a proposed platform.
In addition, James Weaver, recently announced candidate for the
Fourth District Congressional seat, will speak. Mr. Weaver has been
actually involved in many of the reforms that will be initiated at the
convention in Miami.
This meeting is open to all interested parties.
Italian play to be presented tonight
Students studying Italian at the University are performing an
Italian comedy free of charge tonight and Friday at the Pocket
Playhouse in Villard Hall.
“Cavalleria Risticana” by G. Verga will be presented at 8 p.m.
each evening.
The dialogue will be in Italian.
Students to plan campus bike-routing
There will be a meeting for any students interested in helping to
develop a plan for bicycle-routing on campus, which will be im
plemented during Spring Term. The meeting is scheduled for 2 p.m.
today in 315 EMU.
Class to hear speech on radiation risk
Biologist Carl Corbett of Douglas United Nuclear Company in
Washington will discuss “Reactors, Radiation and Risk” before the
"Man and His Environment Class”at 1:30 p.m. today in 250 Clinical
Services Building.
Members of the University community are invited to attend.
Faculty Senate meeting cancelled
The Faculty Senate meeting, scheduled for Wednesday afternoon,
was cancelled, due to lack of an agenda.

OSPRIG hearing to discuss insurance
The monthly OSPIRG open hearing will be held at 7:30 tonight in
the Eugene City Council chambers, 777 Pearl St.
During the hearing three University students who conducted a
research project comparingwhole-life insurance to term-life insurance
will present their findings.
The three. Bruce Reichert, Mike Dotten and Phil Nyegaard, plan
to publish a brochure on their findings in February.
Mary Jo Guy, coordinator of the recently released OSPIRG meat
inspection study, is also scheduled to talk and to answer questions at
the hearing.
Anyone who has an environmental complaint or OSPIRG project
idea is urged to attend.
Second BRING meeting set tonight
A second public meeting of BRING (Begin Recycling Into Natural
Groups) will be held tonight at 7:30 p m at the Central Presbyterian
Church. 14th and Ferry
The meeting will continue discussion started last week on the
directions to be taken by BRING within the next year
