Primates topic of lectures
British scientist Robert Hmdr, leading authority on animal
behavior will give the 1*71 Condon Lecture* in Oregon on the
development of social behavior m primates April 7 and 8 at the
1 ' tversity Apr.l 12 and 13 at Oregon State University, and April 14
and 15 at Portland State University
Condon lecture* named for the first geology professor at the
i iveruty Thomas Coodon are sponsored every year by the State
Board of Higher Education to bring results of recent scientific
research to the public
Hmde is a professor tn the Department of Zoology at the
tDiversity of Cambridge He was made honorary director of the
Medical Research Unit on Development of Integration of Behavior in

A musical visual collage of sights and sounds of a "vanishing
America will be held tonight at 8 p m in the School of Muse Recital
Mall as a scholarship benefit for students in drama, muse and dance
at the University
The program, entitled "Innovations. Images and Sound.” will
feature lion Hunter head of the audio visual media center at the
University
The program is being sponsored by the Pi Delta chapter of Phi
Beta, a women's fraternal organization devoted to speech, music and
drama
Tickets arr priced at tl 50 for adults. II for students, and may be
purchased from Phi Beta members or at the door

forensics who is coordinating the Symposium Program, the annual
rsrnt probably is unujue to the state of Oregon and continues to
mam!ski its popularity with more than 100 appearances scheduled
each year
