The special interest meetings also will involve academic advising,
student services, financial aid, Honors College, Reserve Officer

and career possibilities open to students.
Census seminar
Anyone who is interested may attend a free seminar on the 1970
U.S. census information for Oregon today from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in the
Erb Memorial Union.
Robert Keith of the University’s Bureau of Governmental
Research and Service, will speak. The Bureau will be the first public
agency to process data for Oregon from the 1970 census summary
tapes.
Keith, who is in charge of the census project, will discuss the types
of data available on census tapes, the Oregon census maps, the
general-purpose computer programs already written to retrieve data,
and how the data can be used by University personnel.
The census computer tapes are the most comprehensive source of
social analysis data available, according to Keith.
