On Friday, Oct. 16, a Foreign Service
Office from the Dept, of State will be visiting
our campus to discuss with faculty and
students the needs of the Foreign Service for
new recruits. There will be two sessions in
the morning: 9 10, 10:30 11:30, and two
sessions in the afternoon: 2-3, 3:30 4:30.
The 1970 Oregon Lucia, Queen of Light
contest is taking place. Any young woman of
Scandinavian descent between the ages of 18
and 22 is eligible. The deadline for filing
applications is Oct. 31. If you are interested
or have any questions, the application forms
are in the ASUO office on the third floor of
the EMU. The girl chosen Lucia will
represent Oregon at the Lucia Festival in
Vancouver B.C. in December.
