Fifty minutes of court action is scheduled, including a 20-min ute Varsity-Frosh game and a 30-minute Varsity intrasquad con test. Varsity Coach Steve Belko, whose squad has played good de fensive basketball the last couple of days after being weak in that department in early practices, will start a squad of four juniors and a senior. Only senior in the starting line up is two-year letterman guard Billy Gaskins. Six-foot-five Bill Drozdiak will team with Gaskins at guard. Stan Love draws the starting job at center, with Larry Holliday and Lenny Jackson drawing the call at forwards. Belko pointed out that sopho Gorman tops slate in tennis match A major tennis exhibition, fea turing top-ranked players from three countries and three states, is on tap Friday night at Eugene Swim and Tennis Club on Coburg Road. The public is invited to the 7:30 p.m. event. No admission will be charged. Tom Gorman of Seattle, 11th - ranked player in the United States, is the chief attraction. The team is healthy with the exception of senior forward Jim Henry, who is ill and may have mononucleosis. The Frosh will probably start a team of center A1 Carlson, for wards Doug Little and Chuck Mc Cormick, and guards Dave Rob erts and Clyde Crawford. Walt Reynolds and Jim Officer may earn starting spots at guards. Only 20 minutes of Frosh-Var sity action will be played because of lack of aepm anu rauunmo on the Frosh team. “We still look ragged,” said Dietz, “mainly because the foot ball players and just coming off the Frosh team and we’re trying to break new people into the lineup. They haven't had much practice.” The varsity will break into two fairly equally balanced squads— the Greens and the Yellows — for their 30-minute scrimmage. Regulation officials and all game conditions will be observed. Admission is $1 for adults and 50 cents for students. All pro ceeds go to Oregon Club, sponsor of the annual event. Pigskin prognosis It was an embarrassing week for the Emerald sports staff. Ad secretary Carolyn Bartchy outguessed the three men with a 13-2 record. John Anderson held onto a one-game advantage over Rick Rogoway as both went 12-3, while Sports Editor Stan Horton dropped to 11-4. This week’s guest betrayer is Sam Kinzer, senior class presi dent and an Emerald ad salesman. Kinzer goes against Oregon twice, picking the Beavers over the Ducks Saturday and the Barometer over the Emerald in an 11 a.m. Sunday exhibition on the Parker Stadium AstroTurf.
