One of their runners, he said,

mile champion.
The race will be divided into
two divisions, however,the seniors
and the juniors (everyone under
the age of 20).
And Bowerman, with such en
trants as freshman standouts Ter
ry Dooley (last year's Canadian
prep mile champ) and Gary Lind
berg (1966 Washington prep mile
champ) and sophomores Roscoe
Divine (a sub-four minute miler)
and Hal Jackson, expects to win
the latter division.
The race is scheduled for 2:30
p.m. on McKenzie View Drive
east of Eugene if the weather is
favorable, Hendricks Park if not.

Despite the title, meet director
Don Van Rossen says the event
is intended for anyone who likes
to swim—not just for the cham- j
pionship caliber athletes.
Oregon varsity swimmers will
not be eligible, and no fees are
involved.
