is a little different than in pre
vious year- Coaches used to have
difficulty in filling all the weights,
hut now there is actually compe
tition in several of the divisions
for the top spot

"We could be in better shape,
and we ll have to work more on
takedowns; but this group has
talent and a lot of spirit. We
should do well," said Hoiness.

, have been playing very well. Rick
! Abramson from McMinnville, the
team's leading scorer, is a definite
varsity prospect, as is Jim Hannon
(Portland), who has been "real
aggressive” on the boards. Clax
ton Welch (David Douglas) and
(•Ion Campbell (Thurston) also
were singled out.
As far as the team is concerned,
the big game of the season is next
Friday when it meets the Oregon
I State Beavers at Corvallis. “If
we lose all our other games, but
beat Oregon State, we’ve had a
satisfactory season,” smiled An- j
derson.
Future varsity players? "We've
got at least two,” he said. “Ab
ramson and Hannon. If they keep
up like they've been doing, they 1
could make it next year.”
