    Second VISTA
Group Leaves
The second group of VISTA
volunteers who trained this
summer at the University will
leave today for permanent as
signments in their year of serv
ice in the national War on Pov
erty. VISTA is Volunteers in
Service to America.
The completion ceremony and
luncheon for about 40 persons
who successfully completed their
training will be today at noon
in the Student Union. Dean of
Administration William C. Jones
will address the volunteers.
Director of VISTA on the cam
pus is R. N. Lowe, professor of
education at the University.
During their six weeks of train
ing, the trainees attended lectures
and discussions led by VISTA
staff members and participated in
field observation. The volunteers
come from various regions in the
United States and range in age
from 18 to 75.
Little Concert Tickets On Sale
The world renowned Juilliard
Quartet and an evening of con
temporary opera will highlight the
1965-66 Little Concert Series at
the University.
The Little Concert Series, pro
grams of chamber music sponsor
ed by the Student Union Board,
will also include four other out
standing groups: the Alma Trio:
Milton Thomas and Georgia Akst,
violistand pianist; the Antiqua
Players; and the Eastman Brass
Quintet.
Season tickets for the Little j
Concert Series—1965-66, went on
sale Monday at the main desk
of the Student Union and at Mat
tox Pipe Shop in downtown Eu
gene.
Mail orders for season tickets
are now being accepted. Mail or
ders should be sent, with a check
or money order and a stamped
self-addressed envelope, to Little
Concert Series, Student Union.
