Yes, frosh. these are three sights you’ll soon get used to an campus.
You may not grow to love them, but you’ll have to learn to live with them.
Those students ARE carrying umbrellas in the upper right hand picture,
and they're dodging the annual Oregon “sunshine.” And if they believe in
traditions, they will also dodge the seal outside the Student Union on “Hello
Walk.”
And of course, the picture on the left is a wearisome, but very typical
sight. There is never enough parking, and there probably won’t be for years
to come—at least not on this campus.
Last, but not least, Steve Goldschmidt, ASUO president, is talking.
You may even get used to this, but the Emerald doesn’t hope for miracles.
Steve is seen here, exhorting his would-be constituents to vote for him in
last spring’s general elections, at the Free Speech Platform on the Student
