how to reach out
for intelligent
Like most of us, you probably
feel pressured at times with the
demands made on you for original
thinking, — for fresh ideas that
will lift your work above the
commonplace. Through the study
of this book, Science and Health
with Key to the Scriptures by
Mary Baker Eddy, we are learn
ing how to turn to God for the
intelligent ideas we need. You
can do this, too.
We invite you to come to our
meetings and to hear how we
are working out our problems
through applying the truths of

Dual Role of Professor
After receiving the Ersted
award last spring, Greenfield told
Register-Guard reporter Don Rob
inson that he feels no essential
conflict divides the two tasks of a
professor-research or scholarship
and teaching.
“They really go hand in glove.
I find that teaching stimulates
scholarship and scholarship stim
ulates teaching," Greenfield said.
His wife, Thelma, is an assist
ant professor of English at the
University.
Daylight Savings
Ends Next Week
Oregonians will gain an hour’s
sleep Oct. 28 as daylight savings
time goes out of effect on that
date.
Sept 28 was originally the date
to set back the clocks according
to the general election last No
vember. However, the State Legis
lature extended the date for an
other month.
This is the first time in three
years the entire state will switch
to standard time. Previously some
parts went on daylight savings
while others did not.
