    Phi Sigs Crush Lambda Chi
Kappa Sigma, Alpha, YMCA Win IM's

Intramural “A" basketball re
sumed competition yesterday as
ten team* met on the hardwood
to battle to victory or defeat.
Phi Sigma Kappa crushed a
hambdn (.‘111 Alpha quintet, 24-5,
while holding them to a scoreless
.second halt.
Lack of defense by both teams
was more than made up by the
hot shooting of Alpha and Shel
don. Alpha eventually scored a
43-35 win over Sheldon as Jack
Jones, Alpha, burned the tump
with 21 counters, YMCA slipped
by the Yeomen, 21-lit, after over
coming a slender halftime lead
by the Yeomen.
In other 14-hall conflicts. Kap
pa Sigma rode herd over Sigma
Nil throughout the game and
drove them into the loser’s col
umn with a 21 13 victory. Staf
fot I downed French 22-17 In the
only other contest of the day.

and the Yeomen laid the foun
dation to a tightly played con- \
test. The YMCA five managed to1
outlast the Yeomen as they
posted a 21-19 win. The Yeomen
had a slim one point lead at half
time but lost it as YMCA put up
11 points to their 8 in the sec
ond half.
Sigma Nu Falls
John Natt tallied 13 points to
lead the Kappa Sigmas to a
21-13 decision over Sigma Nii.
The stage was set by halftime
when the Kappa Sigs held a 12-6
lead and the action followed the
same course in the second half
as Sigrna Nu went down to de
feat.
Stafford, 22-17
Stafford Hall grabbed an early
six point lead and pursued it to
the end to wrap up the game.
22-17, over French. Bert Waugh
of Stafford scored eight points
and received plenty of support
from his teammates.
