Bloom to lecture
on Buddhist Japan
‘■Buddhism in Japanese Modern
Society" will be discussed by Al
fred Bloom at the East Asian
meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m. in
the SU. Room number will be
posted.
Bloom is a specialist in the
study of Japanese Buddhism. He
studied in Japan from 19o7-59
on a Fulbright scholarship, at
tending a language school in Tok
yo and Ryokoku L niversity in
Kyoto.
Bloom is presently an instruc
tor in the Religion Department
at the University.
