Needy families fo
get food baskets
Each year it has been a /tradi
tion for AWS to sponsor a
Thanksgiving food basket pro
gram for the needy families in
the Eugene-Springfield area.
This year, AWS is again spon
soring this project and it will in
clude both men’s and women's
living organizations. Each living
organization will be-asked to fill
a basket with items needed for a
Thanksgiving dinner. AWS has
! assigned a family to each organi
zation and they will re respon
! sible for delivering the baskets
to these families. The deliveries
■ will he made on November 22, for
| Thanksgiving vacation begins the
j 23.

AWS to hold
meeting today
AWS Legislature will hold a
i meeting today at \ in the StJ,
according to Bette Lush, AWS
! president. The agenda for the
; meeting will include invocation,
roll call, minutes, and treasur
er's report. Under committee re
ports will be heads of houses, ref
, erence hoard and scholarship. Old
business will include academic
honesty, elections, AWS rules,
and public ity. New business and
announcements will include dis
mission of the SU, junior panhel
ienic dinner. Dec. 1, Alpha Lamb
, ia Delta initiation, Nov. 22, and
AWS philanthropy, Thanksgiving
baskets, Nov. 21-11. All univer
sity women who are interested
are welcome to attend the meet
ing. The room number will be

Off-campus living rules set
Due to the increased enroll
men of women at the University,
women are now allowed to live
off-campus. Apartments, private
homes, and boarding houses are
included in the approved off
campus residences.
The University has. however,
set aside certain rules that must
be met, before students are able,
to move off-campus. The girls,
must be 21 years of age by Janu
ary 1. 1961 (this applies only to1
those girls wishing to move off!
winter term): the girls must have ‘
j their parent's approval ; their
, housing must be approved by
the Dean's office; and all soror
I ity women must first receive ap
proval from their respective
j Greek organizations before the
Dean's office will grant permis
sion. These rules will be en
forced by AWS.
All women who will be mov
ing off campus or are now living
i off-campus should register in the
Dean of Women's office. This is
in case of emergencies and it is
very important that the Dean’s
office is able to contact all wom
| en living off-campus.
