coming Queen.

In addition to the coronation

still available
Student football tickets for the
Washington-Oregon game In Se
attle October 29 are still on sale
at the Athletic Dept, ticket office
and will continue to be on sale un
til game time this Saturday, Oct.
15.
Saturday the tickets will be
sold at the Hayward Field ticket
office. Student ticket prices are
one-half price the adult rate. The
ticket price is $2.00 and enables
Uie University students to sit in
a special Oregon section between
the 40 and 80 yard lines at the
University of Washington Stad
ium.

educated than the others. If a
person is able to determine an
area of interest or specific oc
cupation. it seems illogical to
condemn that individual for at
tempting to take advantage of
every opportunity to learn more
about the objective. For ex
ample, would a man with tu
berculosis be better served by
a trained physician or by a
Shakespearean quotation of
"Out damn spot”?
Mr. Glenn stated that he wan
astonished at the present edu
cational desires at the univer
sity, perhaps by the end of his
third week of college, he will
agree that these desires do de
velop scholars.

East Asian elections
planned for tonight
The first fall term meeting of
the East Asian Society will be
held tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the
8U.
The program will be designed
to acquaint new members with
the society and its functions.
Anyone interested in East Asia
was invited to attend. Refresh
ments will be served.
Memberships will be taken
following the meeting. Officers
for the year will be elected and
an informal discussion period will
follow.

Law school alumni to meet Saturday
The law school alumni associ
ation will hold its second annual
meeting at 8 am. Saturday in
the Eugene Hotel.
The association was organized
last year during Homecoming.
Current paid membership is
slightly over 200.
